- a mythological spirit of nature imagined as a beautiful maiden inhabiting rivers, woods, or other locations…
….such as the downtown streets of Calgary, Alberta.
Calgary is best known as the host of the 1988 Winter Olympics…a hotbed for extreme sports…nearby wildlife such as bears, cougars and the occasional Bigfoot sightings…and frigid winter temperatures blown out by Chinook winds off the Rocky Mountains.
There is one legend, however, that most never hear of. A subject the locals never talk about. A story that, when brought up by an outside, is either denied, ridiculed, or dismissed.
Are Calgarians selfish?…afraid?…non-believing? Or is it that there is something much scarier afoot, and they are hoping we never found out about it?
Regardless, it is time this story got out.
As Calgary is my hometown, I am in a unique position to present the stories of the Snow Nymphs. Are you ready?
Are you sure?
